Notes
A very scarce early Gift Set issued during October 1940 (dated by the code at one lid side). This strung set comprises:
Dinky 150A – Royal Tank Corps Officer (with binoculars), paint finish is virtually mint. Note faint crazing/fatigue.
2 × 150B Privates, seated. Virtually mint.
2 x Dinky 150C – Royal Tank Corps Private (arms behind back). One figure is virtually mint, the other is close to mint ( tiny fatigue).
Dinky 150E – Royal Tank Corps NCO (walking). Near mint plus.
A desirable group of figures, to enhance a Dinky military collection in particular.
The condition of the deep powder blue lift-off lid box belies its years, A very fine example with excellent strong colours. Note however the tear to the yellow card inner.
The vivid red U.S. Export Label is clean and fresh, Note this is an early export set with no mention of the Hudson Dobson U.S. Importer at this time.
This set looks as if it has remained in a drawer for much of the past 70 or so years.
