A rare and impressive pre-war Gift Set from Dinky made between 1937-41.
It contains:
1) 60h Singapore Flying Boat – in near mint plus condition, with no fatigue visible.
2) 2 × 60n Fairey Battle Bombers.
Both structurally sound and complete. Very near mint. Two very nice pre-war examples.
3) 2 × 60 p Gloster Gladiator Biplanes – two very nice clean examples. Near mint plus. No signs of fatigue.
Box inner and base present well with minor fading over the years. Looks rarely handled. All items strung.
Box itself is sound and very clean, with expected edge wear/rubs and a small lid end tear. Water staining.
A rare set indeed and a precious survivor from this early Dinky period. Dated January , 1939.
