Auctions
Please find below our commonly asked questions in regard to auctions:
Registration
Click on “Log in – My QDT” in the upper right of any QDT page.
Click the blue “Register” button.
Enter your details as requested and then click Register.
We will receive your registration request and will generally process it within 24 hours.
Once your account is activated you will be able to log in to the QDT site.
Logging in
Click on “Log in – My QDT” in the upper right of any QDT page.
Enter your email address and password and click “Log In”.
Amending your details
If you are not currently logged in:
Click on “Log in – My QDT” in the upper right of any QDT page.
Enter your email address and password and click “Log In”.
Click on “My QDT” the upper right of any QDT page. This will drop down a menu which
includes “Your Details”.
Click “Your Details”.
Make any changes required and then click “Update” at the bottom of the page.
Viewing your Auctions
Find your Auctions
Click on “My QDT” in the upper right of any QDT page. This will drop down a menu which
includes “My Account”.
Click “My Account”.
Click the “Auction Activity” tab to see a list of the auctions you have taken part in and watched.
Logging out
Click on “My QDT” in the upper right of any QDT page. This will drop down a menu which
includes “Log Out”.

Auction watch
The same functions as bidding on an auction without placing a bid
Watch an auction for email updates and easy tracking
Clicking on the pale blue “Watch Auction” button will add the auction to your auction list in My QDT.
Watched auction emails
Any watched auction will send you one hour remaining and auction finished emails.
Auction bids
Bid Next Increment
This will bid the next required amount
Custom bid → Jump the Bid
This will increase the current auction price to the bid you specify. No bids will be
placed in between the current auction value and your chosen bid.
Custom bid → Maximum Bid
This will place the next required bid amount (or higher if another existing maximum
bid is in place) and will continue to bid on your behalf up to the value you have
specified

Auction bid duration
The deadline for the next bid will be clearly visible within the auction giving a 24 hour window. This takes account of all those time differences across the world.
Bids will be in increments of £25 for each bid below £1000, £50 per bid above £1000 and £100 per bid above £2000.
Auction completion
If no higher bid is received within a 24 hour period, this will be the winning bid!
If a higher bid is received, then another 24 hour countdown begins.
The item is sold to the collector with the highest bid.
QDT will advise at what price the bidding should start.
Checkout on completed auction
While logged in – click on “My QDT” in the upper right of any QDT page. This will drop down a menu which includes “My Account”.
Click “My Account”
Click on the “Auction Activity” tab to see a list of the auctions you have taken part in.
Click on “Add to cart” for the auction item won
Auction Commission
QDT Charge to buyers – 12.5% of the hammer price.
