Notes
Issued between 1957-58, the golden age of Dinky! This is one of the most eye-catching Dinky models you can buy and it is always an exciting find. This sought-after van has an original vibrant red paint finish throughout and complete highly decorative transfers on both sides (save for a couple of the tiniest nicks). Bright base and well-shaped, supple original tyres.
A few tiny marks to the paint finish – and a very small (easily overlooked) casting mark on one side. Shiny metal parts throughout and that (most notably) includes the posts at the rear opening doors.
The box is bright and complete. Dated May, 1957 (Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid). Little storage grubbiness and a small scuff to the paper covering the card on one end. Light wear besides includes a small crumple to the lower half of the box. No graffiti.
A highlight in any collection.
