Notes

A little piece of Dinky history!
This pre-production factory sample from the Parodi family was auctioned in the U.K. during 2017 along with other models from this same source. (In fact the owner of this model wrote an article in the Model Collector Magazine and a copy of the article will be included too).

Key differences between the pre-production prototype and the standard production model:

1) Cab paint colour shade difference

2) Chassis on the production model is metal, on pre-production sample it is plastic

3) Prototype chassis has its mudguards separately attached to the chassis with glue (sadly one is missing).

4) Plastic components such as the fuel tank do not have the ‘finish’ of the production model.

5) Red plastic wheels on the pre-production sample.

6) Red jockey wheels on the pr-production sample.

In the article written by the owner, we understand that when the model is carefully removed from the wooden plinth, the number 4 is clearly visible. At least, there are 3 other (albeit slightly different) samples made.

Note that the BURMAH labels are complete on one side, a little loss to the other. Complete label at the rear. All grey manhole covers are intact.

Model is securely fastened to the wooden plinth.
In-house blueprint copy included too:
