Notes
This sought-after, early issue Gift Set (1962-66) was available at the time as a mail order set. This is one of them- correct that it comes with the plain card packing sleeve and Mail Order label at a lid end.
1) Corgi 426 Booking Office. Scarlet red and blue with complete colourful labels throughout. Very minor ruffling to the label head-on. Pleasing lustre to the original paint finish. Tiniest wear to the transfer at the side.
Shaped spun wheels with suspension. Very near mint.
2) Corgi 438 Land-Rover in matching finish. Earliest version with the tinplate canopy ( later versions would have a plastic canopy). Very near mint condition with spare wheel on the bonnet and complete paper labels on both doors. Very near mint. Occasioanl minor mark to the paint (e.g. at the rear). Number plates. Shaped spun wheels with suspension.
3) Corgi 1121 Crane Truck
in vivid red and yellow finish with notably unrubbed, light blue lettering and matching wheels. Near mint plus condition (a little more marking at some exposed edges). Version with painted silver jib.
4) 2 x 1123 Animal Cages

Very near mint condition with a vibrant paper label. With elephant.
Both sets of original animals (i.e. bears and lions) are included.

Instruction Slip for the 1121 Chipperfield Crane Truck.
Instruction Slip for the 1123 Chipperfield’s Circus Cage
Corgi Club Membership Form.
Colourful pictorial box is a delight, with a full colour, vivid Chipperfields Circus scene depicted. So often found with wear/damage – this example has survived better than most. Little strip of surface loss due to the removal of old tape which kept the lid closed and a little staining nearby. Mail Order label complete on one short lid end, the other is incomplete.
With plain card over-sleeve with period handwritten note in pen. Old tape residue and a few small seam tears.
One of the most popular Corgi Gift Sets – especially this Mail Order first issue in original and complete authentic condition.
