C803
Corgi 803 The Beatles Yellow Submarine. Red hatches issue. Very near mint/boxed. From The West London Collection
Notes
A sought-after Corgi model in original condition with all four figures of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
Red hatches issue.
Transfers are complete throughout (hard to find this good!) and the periscope is undamaged, rotating when the model is pushed along. Hatches open and close well.
Intact plastic propellor, too.
A little (probably factory assembly) mark on the white section below the rotating periscope and a couple of very small marks at the rear edge. Note the stray flick of factory white paint on the top of this rear section too.
The deep blue moulded plastic inner has a split and a small area of loss – this type of plastic becomes so fragile and brittle over time, so often found with damage.
Box colours are fresh and vivid with lots of atmospheric artwork. Barely any crease where the header card section meets the main body of the box. Few small flecks of surface loss where a period price label has been removed at some time. Small end flap seam tear. Lightest wear besides. Cellophane window is notably both original and intact!
