Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
An impressively detailed truck from Corgi.
With a bright red and white paint finish – note that this particular issue does not have ‘Holmes Wrecker’ transfers at the sides. Intact wing mirrors with both reflective stickers still in place. Intact and straight shiny gold double horns on the roof. Complete red hazard ‘light’. Note this version is opaque (earlier issues were transparent). Both spare tyres are still in place. Complete chevron paper label at the rear of the model (minor age transparency). Few factory assembly marks near the ladder on one side.
Complete with both mechanics.
Polystyrene inner is clean, bright and fresh with a lovely original Corgi Cog label.
The correct later issue card and cellophane-fronted box is wonderfully fresh and as-new! Opened for the first time just now to take these pictures. Period price label.
Issued towards the end of the production run (1967-74).
