C454
Corgi 454 Commer Platform Lorry. Very near mint/boxed. Metallic blue and silver-grey issue with flat spun wheels. SCARCE IN PLAIN TEMPORARY BOX WITH STAMPED ENDS. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
A very pleasing example of this Commer 5 Ton Lorry with a deep metallic blue cab and chassis, and a silver-grey back. Flat spun hubs. This model has a fine original lustre and a nice bright baseplate with spare wheel affixed to the base.
Looks very fresh and completely unused:
If you really want to fault it, you could note the little box rub at the centre of the front bumper and the few little dots on the flatbed.
A difficult find in the plain temporary blue and yellow card box with stamped ends. Complete, clean and brightly-coloured. Occasional light crease, light wear and some leaching of the black pint at the stamped ends.
