AN13010
Pre-Production Sample Piece of Corgi Classic AN13010 Simon Snorkel Fire Engine. Gold-plated. Very, very near mint/not boxed. Very rare model. From one of England's largest premium collections.
Notes
An extremely rare item purchased by the owner from the auction held by the Corgi Company in 2006. This is a pre-production sample piece of the strictly limited edition gold-plated models subsequently made to commemorate 50 years of Corgi production (limited run of 50 made).
This pre-production sample piece is in very near mint condition, couple of negligible marks which do not detract. Same scale and finish as the strictly limited edition models subsequently made. Important to note that this pre-production sample piece has small wing mirrors, whereas Corgi decided to opt for larger wing mirrors for the production model. One of the wing mirrors lacks a lower bracket now, but it still sits firmly in place and is easily overlooked.
An exceptional investment piece. Estimated to be one of a very small number (less than 5 typically).
