C1144
Corgi 1144 Chipperfield's Circus Scammell Crane with Rhino Cage. Mint/ box wear. From The London Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1969-72. This set comprises a Scammell Handyman MKIII in blue and red finish with a silver jib and hook as well as a rhinocerous in a plastic cage. In completely unused condition with a pristine vibrant original paint finish, complete paper labels and rhino with stiff cellophane packing.
Perfect “Come to the Circus” label correctly on one side only.Couple of tiny factory assembly marks on the blue paint near the jib fixing and a raised piece of casting on the silver bed. Seems harsh to downgrade from mint for that.
Fragile white plastic inner has an area of discolouration and there are a couple of little breaks. The outer box is complete and bright with original cellophane stil in place (split). MInor wear to the card besides. No graffiti. Card feels crisp. Original U.S. price is still affixed to an end flap.
