Many items from this collection were bought new during the 1960?s, after enquiring in toyshops for old, unsold shop stock.

This fine Dinky model has been carefuly handled and stored, obviously spending* most of its 54 or so years tucked away in its box*. So, this tanker has a lustrous, vibrant, all original paint finish throughout and has very few marks at all to the paint finish.

Note that there is a factory flick of paint at one edge of the white stripe ( we are sure that this is factory , especially since this white paint even has the slight speckling that is contained within the stripe when viewed under magnification). The edge mark to the white strip on the other side has not been touched.
Notably, even the wheel arches have survived unscathed ( save for a dot to a couple). The roof is unmarked, head-on there are a couple of dots above the radiator. The ‘REGENT’ lettering is perfect. The rear transfer is perfect too! Exceptionally well presented throughout with an undented tank and a shiny black intact ladder. How often does one see a Regent Tanker in this condition?

The striped Supertoys box is in superb condition too. Day-one bright colours on clean, very close to perfect card. A very small fleck of surface removal and grubbiness at one end of the lid and a penned price. Staples are rusty now.
Includes the little card piece which fits over the cab.
Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this particular example June 1957.
A wonderful example with an unsurpassed sheen!
