W1
Wiking Volkswagen Limousine (Beetle). Grey-Blue. Early issue, without windows. Mint/boxed. Scarce PROMOTIONAL model. From a fine collection in Hamburg.
Notes
A note from the vendor:
These Wiking models are quite rare. They are in 1:40 scale and were exclusively made for Volkswagen in the 50s and 60s of the last century. They were give-aways for new car buyers (to please their little boys I assume). It is interesting to know that Wiking made these cars in the same colours the originals were, also they were pure promotional items for VW only and never available in the shops.
Those without windows are extremely rare and achieve high prices when available.
Scarce early issue from Wiking, the respected German manufacturer, this early plastic VW Limousine (Beetle) model has a distinctive greyish-blue finish, matching seating, white steering wheel.
In mint condition, with a silver trim. An early issue without glazing.
Correct early card box is complete, colours are bright, no tears at end flap etc. Minor age wear only, including slight mottling to the card visible (mostly) on the box underside.
