Notes
This is a close-to-mint, all original and complete example; the first issue version with the rare green Bentley.
Issued between 1966-69, this set would have been released at the start of the production run.
The set comprises:
1)John Steed’s Bentley in green and black finish, correct for this set with red metal wire wheels. Complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel. In close to mint condition, with a few little stray black marks on the green wings.
Occasional little mark besides.
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in sparkling white finish. Near mint with a few little edge marks. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Original figure of Emma Peel.
Three original plastic umbrellas which are nearly always missing!
Inner card plinth is bright and complete and vividly-coloured. Some minor age grubbiness and a couple of little tears at a wheel slot.
The colourful card outer box is complete and bright with all end flaps intact and no tears.
Notably complete with the original wrap-around card packing piece.
A fine and scarce set which is difficult to find authentic these days.
