A stunning example of this first type Foden with a deep blue cab and chassis, dull orange back and flash, paler blue ridged hubs. Such a fresh, shining paint finish on this early truck in all original condition, issued between 1948-52 only. Superb, shining silver detailing at the 1st type cab with just one small mark only.

A couple of small marks to the cab roof, a little area that has dulled slightly due to box contact (minor) and a pinprick mark at the corners of the straight tailboard. For the very keen-sighted, a few tiny marks may be found here and there at wheel arches, but really this is one of the nicest early Fodens we have seen in a long while.

The early blue, paper label box is complete with only minor grubbiness and rubbing at edges. No splits or tears. Slight fading only. Shopkeeper’s price of 6/9 on the lid and a little faint pencil writing besides.
