CGS4
Corgi Gift Set 4. Bloodhound Guided Missile Set. Near mint- very near mint/boxed. With Leaflet & all packing. Scarce item from the Italian collection.
Notes
Issued between 1958-60 and a difficult set to find in any condition. It comprises:
1) Corgi 351 R.A.F. Land Rover. Tin canopy and flat spun wheels, including spare. Tow hook. Near mint with a wonderfully fresh lustre. Just a few little marks away from mint. A nice example which just glows!
2) Corgi 1115 Bristol Ferranti Bloodhound. In near mint condition with the occasional little expected marking to the white finish . Complete with the notably original nose cone (so often replaced since they perish over time).
3) Corgi 1116 Launching Ramp is in near mint condition. A couple of edge marks. Bright metal parts throughout.
4) Corgi 1117 Bloodhound Loading Trolley. Working well. Very Near mint (marking to the tow ring). Bright metal parts. Lovely example.
The colourful outer box is one of the best we have seen.
Intact, clean with excellent strong colours. Only the occasional minor rubbing. No graffiti. Discreet repair to a lid corner. Complete with both upper and lower packing pieces.
Nice to see that the Rocket Age Leaflet is included ? lots of details and pictures of this military range.
A fine military Gift Set which is always difficult to find in any condition, especially hard to find complete with such a fine box!
