Notes
A superb example of this popular Corgi model made between 1964-69. In very close to pristine condition, this model has just come from a single-owner childhood collection and has been looked after most carefully. It contains an Austin Police Mini Van in deep blue finish with a red detailed interior, shining shaped spun wheels with suspension, aerial, jewelled headlights and perfect ‘POLICE’ on both sides. A few near microscopic marks only – you would be forgiven for calling this van mint!
Also included are the original figures of the police dog handler and tracker dog complete with his lead (often missing!). All safely slotted in to the pristine inner plinth with a colourful backdrop. On the reverse, there is background information on both the B.M.C. Mini Van and the training of the Alsation police dog, and the work they do. The card plinth is in pristine condition.
The outer box is in close to mint condition, with all parts complete, bright and intact. A little minor creasing and a couple of small tears at end flaps, as well and a shopkeeper’s price of 12/6 pencilled on one side.
A nice all-original example which displays very nicely!
