Notes
Produced for such a short time, this Noddy car with the black-faced Golly character is one of the rarest Corgi models! Later issues of this model had the Golly’s face in grey or even a light pinkish tan colour. This is an authentic early example in close to mint condition with just a little rub on the nose where you can see the green base colour showing through. Correct that this early issue has the plain cast wheels (later issues had spoked wheels). A little minor rubbing or tarnishing in a couple of places on the chromed bumpers (minor).
The colourful window box is dated 1969 on the reverse. The bright crisp pictorial inner is close to mint. The outer box is bright and complete with minor wear at edges and a small puncture to the cellophane, no doubt caused by Big Ears’ hat!
A very scarce addition to your Corgi collection and a shrewd investment piece, too.
