D179
Dinky 179 Studebaker President Sedan. Two-tone blue issue. Very, very near mint/box (wear). From the Italian collection.
Notes
This fine Studebaker model has a distinctive shade of light blue with royal blue tail fins, fawn wheels, white knobbly tyres. Original silver detailing picks out the bodylines beautifully.
Bright baseplate and the original tyres have ‘M’ for Meccano stamped. Mere dot or two away from mint.
The correctly-spotted pictorial box is complete, although rather worn now with a glue repair to an end flap and wear and tear to end flaps besides. Grubbiness. Stamped ‘5th Feb 1959’ on the inside of one end flap. Number is written ‘103’ on one surface.
