Notes
A fine and original example of this export issue made between 1953-54 (later renumbered 981). This Horsebox is cast in aluminium and has a very lustrous deep maroon paint finish with matching wheels, which is very close to perfect. Just a few of the usual little marks at the rear opening door. Minor rub at a door handle at the side. Few little dots besides. Complete lettering at both sides and above the cab.
Superb display piece.
It comes in the dual-numbered deep blue box (note that the later numbering has been stamped at one box lid end). The smaller paper labels are deep orange and white. The paper labels are very clean and bright, complete with no tears or edge nibbles. Rusty staples.
One stray flick of pen at box lid end label. Very minor wear. Such vivid colours!
