C249
Corgi 249 Morris Mini-Cooper 'Wickerwork'. Very, very near mint/boxed. Cast wheel issue. From the 1200 model Italian collection.
Notes
A popular Corgi model of this much-loved little car with a smart red and black finish and distinctive ‘wickerwork’ panelling at both sides and at the rear. Sparkling jewelled headlights and suspension on detailed cast wheels. Quite delightful – and with just one or two small easily-overlooked dots this is a great display piece!Notably, all the delicate wickerwork panelling is intact and complete. Note there is a stray little piece of the panelling or similar, attached to the inside of the rear window. Issued between 1965-69.
The pictorial box is fresh-looking with crisp clean colours on bright, barely handled card. Tiny tear at an end flap seam and a small rubbed area where an original penned price has been partially erased.
