Notes
What an exceptional set this is! Rarely found in such tip-top condition. With just one owner from new – barely handled and carefully stored – this is one of the nicest Avengers Sets that you will find. Issued between 1966-69.
In all original, authentic condition, it comprises:
1)John Steed’s Bentley in red and black finish, complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel. In unused shop-fresh condition with just one tiny factory paint miss on the bonnet and a couple of tiny marks besides. Probably as-made. Lovely!
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 in sparkling white finish. Very near mint with one small chip at the opening bonnet (not noticeable). A small cream coloured mark at one side which may be possible to clean away. Perfect suspension. In shop-fresh condition again. Figure of Emma Peel.
Three original umbrellas. Nearly always missing – certainly rare to find all three originals!
Inner card plinth is in crisp condition with excellent vivid colours. Very clean and fresh – just a little minor wear at one wheel slot.
Outer box is very crisp and bright indeed with virtually no wear at all, save for a small tear at one corner.
It comes complete with the white wrap-around packing card.
A beautiful set which is difficult to find complete and authentic these days.
