Notes
This Austin Mini Van was issued between 1964-69. This is the early issue with shaped spun wheels. It is in close to mint condition with just a couple of scarcely noticeable small marks. Perfect “POLICE” labels on both sides and a nice, straight aerial. Jewelled headlights.
This version is a little more unusual than standard – since the plinth on which it stands is just a simple yellow card base. On the base, the police man and dog with his complete lead are slotted in place. No wear at the slots. The outer box is complete and generally bright, although it does have a little wear at end flaps, but no tears. A little barely visisble puncture to the box, but it has pressed back into place. Also included is the usually missing white wrap-around card piece that fits over model and figures when placed in the box.
A nice early example, unusual in this presentation.
