A full trade box of Dinky goodies!
You could be forgiven for thinking that you were looking into the shopkeeper’s window in 1956 and looking at his current stock of Hillman Minx models:

1) 2 x Light tan finish and cream wheels. Both have the later baseplate with large lettering and no rails. Hillman Minx cast into the underside of the roof. One example in very near mint condition, the other in near mint plus condition with a couple of areas of rough casting and a few little marks. Both have an outstanding original lustre.

2) 2 x Mid tan finish:
a) Rare with dark fawn wheels (near mint). Few little marks. Hillman Minx cast into the underside of the roof. Early baseplate with small lettering and rails.
b) Cream wheels issue in excellent plus condition. Early railed base with small lettering and without Hillman Minx cast into the underside of the roof. Few marks, but still a wonderful lustre!

3) 2 x Light green with deeper green wheels.
a) Early baseplate with small lettering and rails. Without Hillman Minx cast into the underside of the roof. Excellent plus with minor roof rubbing and a few little marks.
b) Later baseplate and Hillman Minx cast into the underside of the roof. Near mint with a little scuff on the roof and a few little marks.

A fine array indeed! All enclosed in an excellent trade box which is complete and brightly-coloured, if a little grubby. Nice to see that this example is complete with the original dividers. Rust at staples. Shopkeeper’s writing on the underside of the box base.
An exciting addition to your collection. Hard to resist!
