Issued between 1961-64, this is an outstanding two-part set from the popular Chipperfield’s Circus range, complete with all authentic accessories, comprising:
1) Corgi 1121 Circus Crane Truck. Bright and original red and yellow finish with light blue lettering at the sides. Bright winding cuff is metal, shiny silver boom and strung winch.
Small mark on the front of the bonnet and a small dot on the roof. Couple of little marks at the rear edge corners.
Outstandingly vibrant and glossy finish shows that this truck has rarely been handled and certainly not played with!
2) Corgi 1123 Circus Cage. Matching finish, complete with all blue plastic sliding doors intact. Notably, the amber roof lights are intact (one faint scratch) and the blue doors have not discoloured. A chip on one of the side opening doors. Bright shaped spun wheels and red plastic tow bar. Looks unused with a fine shining lustre! The Polar Bear transfer has been correctly applied.
The colourful pictorial lift-off lid box is one of the best we have seen; extremely bright and fresh-looking with no splits or graffiti. Minimal wear only.
Complete with all packing, including the ring as well as the Instructions printed in deep blue incorporating the Corgi Club Membership Form.
Opened bag contains the 2 polar bears. All original.
A lovely set and an outstanding display piece!
