Notes
This is the suspension issue. Set was issued from 1961-1965.
It comprises:
1) Ecurie Ecosse Transporter has a vivid metallic blue finish, shaped spun wheels, lemon interior and a grey base. Sliding side doors, window glazing and a drop down ramp at the rear. Raised orange lettering at the sides. Able to ?transport? the three racing cars included with this set!
Condition: looks unused. Near mint with the occasional little rub to the lettering, small barely visible rub where the side door slides open. Minor edge mark may be seen upon close inspection. Usual little marks where metal meets metal at the drop down ramp (minor). Note that this example has the ?Genuine Track-Rod Steering Label? still in place (usually removed). Additional period Corgi labels have been added , but these can be removed if desired. They do not look out of place!
2) 151A Lotus XI has a bright mid-blue finish, red seats, racing number 3. Driver.
Condition: Excellent plus. Several little marks/chips and a dot on the bonnet transfer. Box is clean and bright and so crisp! Pen writing on one box face. Tiny wear besides.
3) 150S Vanwall in vermillion red with racing number 25, driver, flat spun wheels with suspension.
Condition: Very near mint. Couple of small marks at the rear and a tiny dot on the transfer. Couple of negligible rubs to the silver nose edge. Box is in fine, crisp condition, complete with unapplied wire-spoked wheel stickers (6) still on the backing sheet. Instructions for application and a Corgi Club Membership Form!
4) 152S B.R.M. model finished in green, racing number 1.
Condition: Very near mint with a small edge portion of the racing number rubbed off and a casting mark at the rear. Wheel stickers have been applied (the other two are still on the backing sheet inside the box, along with the Corgi Club Membership Form and instructions).
Box is very close to pristine!
Lift-off Lid Box is most attractive with bright clean colours.
Seam tear and minor scuffing. Couple of small tears visible on the inside of the lid. Scribble on the underside of the box base, little surface seam tear to the paper covering and the letter ‘D’ has been written on the lid.
Complete with all original card packing pieces:
Instruction Leaflet for the operation of the Ecurie Ecosse* model is enclosed.
