This is a very pleasing example of the post-war tinplate Transport Van from the respected Tri-Ang Minic manufacturers.

This working clockwork model is in all original, close to shop-fresh condition with a vivid red cab, green back, bright plated wings, radiator and headlights, fine detailed transfers at both sides. Twin rear opening doors are secured by means of a bright chrome swivelling bar. One of the original tyres is mis-shapen now and so would benefit from a replacement. Scratch to the paint finish where the bar has rubbed against the rear door and a few very minor marks besides.

The delightfully detailed card box is complete and generally clean, although there are a few small stains. Minor wear and tear at end flaps.‘The word ’Green’ has been hand-written in ink at one end (either by the shopkeeper or even factory), but it has been crossed out now and further writing has been rubbed away (with some surface loss at this site).
