Notes
First issue model introduced in 1965 in white finish, with a bright red interior and a black “Saint” matchstick figure transfer on the bonnet. This is one of the nicest examples we have seen in a long while. The car is in mint condition! Nearly always found with rubs and wear to the raised body lines and at bumpers – this example is happily free from these! Displays superbly with a crisp white paint finish, and a notably complete, bright and clean transfer (nearly always ‘nibbled’ at edges). The silver detailing at bumpers and sides which so often wears off during handling, is nice and bright, as is the detailing at front and rear bumpers (showing that this car has had careful/minimal handling). Jewelled headlights, perfect suspension on shaped spun wheels, driver. All original throughout – what a beauty!
The blue and yellow picture box is clean and bright, although there is a crumple and a small tear at one end flap seam. One small end flap has been replaced with a copy (glued into place).
A sought-after t.v. related Corgi model – especially a first issue example in this condition! Would especially benefit from a box upgrade.
