Notes
Issuedduring 1963, this late issue has an original and lustrous, bright red paint finish with red plastic hubs, knobbly tyres, a Leyland grille and very nearly complete ‘Exide Batteries’ labels at the sides (few tiny edge nicks). Complete ‘73’ on destination boards at front and rear.
Notably, this bus has lost none of its colour vibrancy, has only a couple of the usual chips at wheel arches. No chipping on the roof. This scarce and sought-after model displays really well.
The later issue pictorial card box is complete, if a little grubby now with a couple of little stains and a small amount of pen writing on one end flap. Tiny start of a tear at an end flap hinge.
Not an easy variation to find.
