This type 4 version of the Petrol Tank Wagon in briliant red was issued between 1946-47 and would have been sent to the shopkeeper in trade boxes, so not individually boxed.
This example has fared very well indeed – presenting nicely with a vivid and shining original paint finish and complete and unmarked ‘PETROL’ lettering on both sides. Sound original tyres run smoothly on red ridged wheels. Complete with an intact radiator and headlight assembly. Closed chassis. Not an easy find, especially in this condition!
A little of the expected chipping mostly at the rear, but no touch-ins or repainting and the 20 mph label is still present. Bright axles, including the ends.
