Notes
This is the slightly later issue, made between 1959-61 with window glazing and a red-backed ‘Euclid’ logo at the sides. Such a fine Supertoy from Dinky’s heyday; surely every child from the mid 50’s-60’s remembers it well! Very difficult to find in mint condition.
The truck presents well with a bright, light yellow paint finish, perfect “Euclid” lettering, logo, and wording on both sides, bright winding handle.
A few incidental marks only. Of course, there are the unavoidable marks on the cab roof caused by the operation of the tipping mechanism. Mechanism for raising and lowering the tipper works well. Upon close inspection, we believe that the bed of the tipper has been repainted.
The striped Supertoys box is bright, fresh and clean. Apart from a couple of deliberate corner nicks to the paper cover of the lid, this box is in very fine condition indeed with the upper packing piece (undamaged) included too. No graffiti – looks close to shop-fresh!
