First issue, eagerly sought by collectors, issued between 1948-52. Dark blue cab and chassis, pale blue tank and silver flash.
In all original condition. Undented tinplate tank. Fine tread radial tyres, 20 mph sign at rear, small hook, spare wheel, tinplate ladders. Several little chips, mostly at wheel arches, tank sides and the front bumper. Bright baseplate and axles.

The early buff box with paper label is complete with no splits or graffiti. Small edge nick to the vividly-coloured paper label and a couple of little stains. Rusty staples. Faint factory stamped letter ‘B’ at one end of the lid.

A difficult model to find in any condition.
