Notes
Issued between 1964-65, this is one of the range of exciting racing Minis produced by Corgi during this period. Extremely popular at the time, they are even more sought-after by collectors these days!
A fresh and crisp red and white finish on this racing model with a bright silver spotlight on the roof (which swivels). Bold print racing number ‘37’ on both doors. ‘Monte Carlo’ bonnet transfer is notably complete and thankfully free of the near-obligatory centre line rub! Bright jewelled headlights and an attractive original finish on the silver radiator and bumper. Again free of the chips at this vulnerable area! Rear transfer is very nearly complete with just a near microscopic dot to the top line. Bright white roof has none of the usual edge nicks that can spoil the appearance of this great little iconic car! Small flick of white paint on the roof, probably factory, and in any case, does not appear to be a retouch.
The crisp and clean box has vivid colours, and no graffiti, unless you include the shopkeeper’s pencilled price of 4/6 at an end flap.
