Notes
This classic early Foden truck has such a fine rich brown finish, with a silver flash and black chassis. Correct that this early issue has no tow hook. One of our favourites from this collection, with the beautiful early herringbone tyres too!
In totally original condition.
Base is complete and bright with spare wheel affixed:
Issued between 1947-48.
Upon close scrutiny, you may see the occasional little mark at a wheel arch. Couple of little marks toward the rear of one of the wagon sides, and a small casting irregularity on the inner surface of one of the sides.
The correct early buff box is complete and intact with shiny staples! Small corner edge nick to the brightly-coloured paper label. No splits or tears. No graffiti. Large brown colour spot at the lid end. Minor wear only in the form of light creasing, occasional rub etc.
These early Foden models are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially in this condition.
