Notes
It is such a delight to come upon these very early Dinky Delivery Vans and this one is in all original condition with superb gold lettering on both sides. All sound and intact with no parts broken or missing. These early vans made of lead composition do not suffer from the fatigue often found in the later second and third type vans.
This commercial Dinky was made for such a short time – between 1934-35 – so it is especially sought in this condition. All original throughout, there is a little of the expected wear at edges (especially at wheel arches). Vivid red and black finish. Minor wear only to the lettering on both sides. Edge chipping on the roof.
Notably, much of the purple wash on the wheels still remains. Bright radiator surround, intact axles. Sound.
A delight to own – these early advertising vans are in extremely short supply!
