Made between 1957-64, this model is an early example with a bolt spare wheel fixing. This is a most attractive truck which presents so nicely, in vibrant red and pale grey, with rounded chain post bosses and metal hubs. 2nd type.
Just a couple of minor marks at two wheel arches and a raised casting mark on the cab roof edge. None of the usual marks at chain post tops. Couple of little marks to the grey bed edge. Not often found so nice!
The striped Supertoys box is complete, fresh and bright with clean colours on largely unrubbed card. Shopkeeper’s period price of 10/6 on the box lid. Bright staples.
A very attractive, all original example which is hard to resist!
