Notes
1st casting in fawn with red wheels – a rare early issue with open wheel arches, small baseplate lettering, rear axle secured by a tinplate clip, made between 1948-49. In fine and original finish, and the first we have ever offered for sale:
Scarcely any marks to the paint finish. The occasional small mark and a little of the usual rubbing at raised body lines. A very fine early example, especially sought-after with red wheels.
Dinky 153 box with the correct colour spot has been added at a later date (later re-numbering to 153). Correct tan colour spot. Shopkeeper’s label on one non-picture side and a little graffiti.
