We could quickly run out of superlatives when describing this Mobilgas Tanker! This eye-catching Dinky commercial was made during 1953-56 and is a sought-after Dinky model. A vibrant deep red paint finish, 2nd type cab, black ladder and black filler caps. None of the usual corrosion to the tank. This is one of the best surviving examples – an untouched glowing finish with beautifully crisp transfers throughout.
The striped dual-numbered picture box is in super condition too with clean vivid colours on sturdy intact card. Note the dual-numbering at the box end which dates this particular example from 1954. Only the most minor wear.
Items of the highest quality rarely come to the market place. This is an outstanding museum-grade piece.
