Issued between 1961-62, this early version has a bright mid red and black finish, yellow interior, ‘Birmingham – London Motorway Express’ paper labels and shining flat spun wheels.

With just a couple of negligible rubs on the door handles and a flick of (factory) black paint on one side. Complete ‘Midland Red’ labels on both sides (tiny crease to one). Complete ‘London Motorway Express’ label on the destination board above the cab. Complete ‘Midland Red’ logos on both sides, too.
The early lift-off lid box is intact and vividly-coloured, with only the most minor rub or two. Shopkeeper’s prie is penned on the underside of the box base. Complete with the early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form.
