This is the first example we have ever offered for sale – surely this has to be the one of the rarest Dinky Fodens! In superb, all original lustrous two-tone green finish, this second type Foden is in very near mint condition.
Upon close inspection, you may see a couple of negligible marks on the roof and several at wheel arches. There is some chipping at the rear of the tailboard, probably caused by staples. Inside of the bed and bed edges are close to mint.
The box is fresh and clean with bright colours and no splits. Very bright staples. This is a very nice box indeed!
Minor edge rubbing to the paper label and a faintly pencilled shopkeeper’s price of 9/- at one end. Note that there is a faint factory stamp ‘G’ on one end so the correct box for this model.
A wonderful display piece – not many Dinky collections can boast one of these!
