This is a fine and complete example of a sought-after set from Dinky.

All three vehicles are still strung to the card plinth. It contains:
1) Dinky 250 Mini Cooper. This car has jewelled headlights, detailed casting with opening doors and bonnet, tipping seats and “POLICE” signs on doors and roof. The model has one little paint miss at the rear.
2) Dinky 254 Police Patrol Range Rover. Another detailed cast model with jewelled headlights, opening doors and bonnet, tipping seats, detailed moulded windows, interior and seats.“POLICE” roof sign, flourescent strip down both sides and running the length of the Range Rover. Suspension.
3) Dinky 287 Police Accident Unit. A fine and detailed model with a sliding driver’s door ( revealing driver seated behind the wheel), opening service door, jewelled headlights, “POLICE” roof sign and flourescent orange label “POLICE” sign at both sides. Space at rear for stowing the Warning Signs and cones. All labels are complete and fine, a few marks of factory silver at rear bumper.
Included are the two original card covers which fit over the Rover and the Accident Unit:

The inner card stand on which the models sit is in superb condition – really fresh and bright with detailed colour scene to display the Police vehicles. Minor edge crumple.
Outer box is very bright, crisp and complete with no graffiti and barely any age wear at all, save for a little shelf scuff and a very small tear at the tuck-in part of one large end flap ( minor).

All in all, a superb set in original and complete condition. A must for the Dinky and Police vehicle collector alike!
