Notes
Certainly one of the scarcest Dinky-related items made! In July 1951, Dinky planned to make this very attractive Albion Tanker. Drawings are known to exist dated 24th and 25th July 1951, and a wooden ‘mock-up’ was made. Several years ago, the wooden mock-up of this model was sold through a London Auction House. A few white metal examples are known to exist and this is one of them!

We understand that they were made by a Dinky employee but not on behalf of Dinky, who had shelved the project.
In very near mint condition, this is a most attractive item in deep gloss green with perfect-near perfect lettering at both sides. Perfect lettering at the rear and on the cab. Complete and intact black ladder. Lighter green ridged Supertoy wheels. Just one small chip at a wheel arch.
A fascinating addition to your commercial collection!
