Notes
This version has a fresh lemon and red finish with flat spun wheels. In close to mint condition with a couple of little pin head-sized marks and a few tiny edge nibbles to the red roof (minor). In all original condition throughout, this fine Corgi car has had careful handling only:
Note the bulge on the baseplate on this version, more commonly found on mechanical models:
Originally Corgi intended to issue a mechanical version (hence the bulge) but this was never issued. This is not a mechanical version but has the baseplate that would have been used if such a model were produced. An interesting and scarce issue therefore.
The powder blue box is a particularly pleasing example – hard to find these early powder blue boxes so vivid and crisp! Only the most minor handling wear and a shopkeeper’s pencilled price at one end flap. Promotional colour booklet is also included.
