Issued between 1949-54 in various colour finishes, this version in bright violet blue and deep orange-yellow with red ridged Supertoy wheels is not an easy find in this condition. An eye-catching, lustre to the original paint finish – this fine Comet truck looks superb on display!
Bright baseplate too:
With none of the usual chipping at the yellow stake back – just a few small marks at wheel arches.
The sheen throughout shows that this truck has been very carefully handled and stored – the paint has lost none of its lustre.
The early deep blue box with a picture label is vividly-coloured and complete. Minor rubbing to the paper label at box lid ends. Some rusting to the staples and a shopkeeper’s pencilled price of just 6/- at one end of the lid.
