Now here’s a rare Dinky commercial – so often missing from even the most extensive Dinky collections! The last version to be made for a short time in 1964, this truck has a deep blue cab and chassis with a light yellow band around the cab, light yellow back (rivetted) and red plastic wheels. Straight from an avid Dinky collector’s stash of models, this is the first we have ever offered for sale.
At first (and even second) glance, this model looks mint and has a fine lustre to the paint finish. Upon the closest inspection, one may see a couple of dabs of yellow in the yellow back and a few subtle retouches at some of the wheel arches. A few minor marks only, if one scrutinises the truck closely.
The bright and clean pictorial box has the correct colour spot and the correct slanted ‘Dinky Supertoys’ lettering on the lid.
