An impressive military Gift Set made between 1957-65. This set is dated 1959 from the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. An essential two-part set for the centre-piece of your Dinky military display. It comprises:

1) Dinky 660 Mighty Antar Tank Transporter has a fine sheen to the military green finish. Early example, so no window glazing.

A few near-inevitable marks where metal meets metal (e.g. where the tank has rested and at the hinged ramps).

2) Dinky 651 Centurion Tank is in close to mint condition

There are a few near-inevitable marks where metal meets metal(at front and back edges where it has come into contact with the transporter).
Such a wonderfully bright and fresh baseplate and supple original smooth running tracks too!
Of course, both items turn up separately regularly enough – but this Gift Set is not an easy find.

The large striped Supertoys box shows a little minor wear, and there is a little neat writing by the original owner on both the lid and on the inner backdrop for the models. No inner stand now on which the models would be placed.
Tear to the front edge of the base. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price of some 25/- at one end of the lid. (No wonder few sets appear in old childhood collections!).
