What a beauty! This fine Dinky commercial truck has a deep, lustrous, all original maroon paint finish throughout, and of course, more unusual with red grooved Supertoy wheels.
Precisely dated from July 1956 due to the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. The condition belies its age – there are barely any marks at all on this truck, with just a few little pin prick marks at some wheel arches. Note the 20 mph sign still in place at one rear wheel arch and there is scarcely any of the usual rubbing to the straight chain post tops. Bright original chain and metal parts too.
Rounded (not dimpled) chain post bosses underneath. 9 black radial tyres (including the spare) all look as-new. This fine Dinky model presents superbly!
The striped Supertoys box is complete and bright with just a little rubbing and minor grubbiness at edges. No graffiti or splits. LF (lead free) sticker is still in place at the box lid end.
Not an easy find – especially in this condition.
