Notes
This Bedford cab fire engine is in complete and original, working condition with a vibrant red paint finish, corrct that this early issue has no window glazing. Both ladder components are bright and clean and extend well when the winding handle is turned (string has been replaced). There are a few little chips to the front bumper, a mark at one of the points where the ladder rests (minor) and a couple of little grazes behind the cab due to the ladder components. Both bells are bright as are the ladder, baseplate and winding handles. Presents very nicely indeed!
A very nice example which comes in its striped Supertoys box, complete with both upper and lower packing pieces, as well as the card packing ring too!
Unusual to find it this complete.
Dated May 1958 by the Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid. Very minor wear only on this crisp bright box. Discreetly repaired corner split. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price at lid ends.
