Notes
A fine example of this popular Dinky model, issued between 1948-52. Vibrant red cab and chassis, fawn tank and silver flash, fine tread radial tyres, 20 mph sign at rear, large hook, spare wheel, tinplate ladders. Outstanding display item:
A very few small marks in the usual places i.e. at some wheel arches, and there is a scuff at passenger cab side edge. A few little flakes of black paint loss at the vertical part of the tinplate ladder. Upon minute scrutiny, there are a few little touch-ins. No dents or dings in the tank, this model presents very nicely indeed with a lustrous paint finish.
The early buff box with a paper label is in superb condition barely any age wear at all. Not an easy find in this condition.
A little rustiness at the staples and a shopkeeper’s pencilled price of 9/6 at one end.
