Issued between 1948-52, this 1st type Foden has a vivid red cab and chassis, fawn back and silver flash. In all original condition, with a fine lustre to the paint finish. A couple of small marks if one looks for them, this commercial Dinky truck displays very nicely indeed:

Fine tread radial tyres and hook. Tanker slits. Large unpainted hook, spare wheel and shiny baseplate, axles etc.
The early powder blue box with a paper label is in excellent condition with no splits. Very clean with minimal rubbing etc, although the lid is rather sunfaded now.

Near complete exporter’s label (Hudson Dobson) is still attached to the box lid, so this model was originally exported to the U.S.
